Cover Letter: With this paper, my main point was to show that online instruction is considered a discourse community as well. I gave a background of what a discourse community is and the characteristics that are included. Then I went on to talk about how online technology is considered a discourse community and the ups and downs that come with technology. I do not have my paper to its best, I want to know if it is even heading in the right direction because I know in my mind what I want to say, but I am not sure if it is having the right flow. I also am hoping to find some more sources to add and to dig deeper in some of the others. Please let me know what you think!
You did a great job on your paper overall. There are some things that are worth mention however. I had a hard time understanding what the point of your paper was until the very end so I was not very sure what to look for as I was reading through your paper the first time. Your last paragraph made it clear however so you might want to use some of the material you had at the end to help make the main point of your paper clear at the beginning. From my understanding it seems that your paper was trying to show how technology has created its own discourse community with people who are connected through the internet. Maybe explore which one would be best? Text in pink was text that I thought might needed some rewording. Text in red are some corrections I made. Text in blue is text that I feel should be cut out from your paper to make it more clear. I also added some comments on things I thought might need some adjusting. I will say you did a great job with incorporating and analyzing your sources. All in all good job and I hope my editing was helpful!
